S&S Thai Kitchen

Our Story



In 2014, S & S Thai Kitchen began as a food truck business near Old Stadium Park in Honolulu.  
We built a loyal clientele by offering fresh, simple, and authentic Thai and Laotian food.



When space became available at the revamped Japan Village Walk in Shirokiya at Ala Moana Center in 2016, 
we jumped at the opportunity to try something new and exciting.   Our menu expanded tremendously, and once again, our customers kept coming back for more healthy and delicious offerings.

In 2018 our vision to open a sit-down restaurant became a reality with the creation of S & S Thai Kitchen Waikiki.  We offered more than ever before, including house specials, desserts, beer, and wine.  



Then in 2020, we decided to leave our Waikiki and Ala Moana locations to concentrate our business on the bustling West side of Oahu at Kapolei's Ka Makana Alii center.  
This location featured dine in, take out, and catering services and our customer loved us!

 

Fast forward to 2024, now we have relocated and rebranded, taking over a Korean BBQ mini mart in Nanakuli. The new location, situated on Farrington Highway behind McDonald's, brings the same authentic Thai-Lao flavors and adds Korean BBQ dishes like Kalbi and Chicken Katsu to its menu.


Most of our vegetables and fruits are grown on our own farm in Kahuku, on Oahu's famous north shore. 
Having a local, reliable source of fresh produce, which is 70% organic, is a tremendous benefit.  
S & S Thai Kitchen is supporting Hawaii's food sustainability goals.


With a focus on fresh, healthy and simply prepared dishes with no added MSG, our delights are perfect for those who are conscious of their nutritional needs.  And if you're wondering what S & S stands for, som  & sak mean success & happiness in Thai.
